OVERVIEW

The Diploma in Theology (DipTh) is a program that combines strong biblical knowledge with practical ministry skills, helping students develop a nuanced set of theological and practical skills for effective Christian ministry. It is suitable for those seeking personal spiritual growth in discipleship and those who have completed a Certificate in Ministry or its equivalent.

Full-time: Two years

Part-time: Up to six years

Admission Requirements

The applicant should fulfil the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old on the date of admission and obtained a GCE ‘O’ level certificate or its equivalent*

  • Possess personal and spiritual maturity

  • Be water baptized and  involved in Christian ministry

  • Recommended by his or her local church pastor

 

* Applicants without formal schooling can apply if they are at least 25 years old and successfully complete a qualifying assessment. Accepted students will begin with the Certificate of Ministry courses and must achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0.

International applicants must provide evidence of English Language proficiency if their previous school's medium of instruction was not in English. This can be demonstrated through a TOEFL score of 80 (IBT) / 550 (PBT) or an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or an equivalent qualification. Certificates must have been issued within the past two years. 

Program Aims

Upon successful completion of the program, students should demonstrate:

  • A comprehensive knowledge and deep understanding of Scripture and Christian doctrine

  • Ability to interpret and apply Scripture to practical life situations

  • Understanding of the nature of the church, its ministry, and mission

  • A strong commitment to developing spiritual maturity in themselves and others

  • Ability to communicate biblical truth with clarity, conviction, and cultural relevance

  • A heart and desire to serve in the ministry of the local church, and the broader Christian community

Tuition Fees: SGD 8,476

Notes:

1) Fees are payable each term based on the number of credits taken for the term.  

2) Fees quoted above are estimated based on 2024 rates and inclusive of 9% GST. Fees are revised annually. 

3) The fees do not include cost of textbooks. 

4) International students will need to take into consideration living expenses and other related fees incurred from staying in Singapore on a student pass.

APPLICATION

The School of Theology follows a trimester system with 3 terms in a year. Each term consists of 13 weeks. Students should check with the school for the exact dates for the school terms.

  • Term 1: Jan - Mar

  • Term 2: May - Jul

  • Term 3: Sep - Nov

 

Applicant may choose to commence the program in any term.
